Nairobi National Park

Nairobi National Park was Kenya’s first established national park located only 7km from the capital city, Nairobi. Its close proximity means that the city’s sky scrapers and bustling metropolis is visible as a backdrop to the reserve, making it a unique and unusual place where natural and manmade scenery combine. Nairobi National Park has a diverse population of wildlife, including lions, giraffe, zebra, black rhino, buffalo, cheetah, among others. It is also the location of the David Sheldrick Trust, which runs an elephant orphanage to help heal and raise orphaned elephant calves. Another highlight is the iconic Giraffe Manor, which has become world famous for its curious giraffe inhabitants.

Busanga Bush Camp

Busanga Bush Camp lies on a verdant island in the middle of Kafue’s Busanga Plains. Day and night drives and seasonal boating take in the diverse wildlife in this remote place on the ground, or a hot air balloon ride by air. This intimate camp has just four tents set under leafy fig trees. The main area – under canvas – is a favourite space amongst guests, particularly at sunrise when the rising mist gradually reveals masses of lechwe and puku dotted across the floodplain.
