Timbavati Nature ReserveEnquire Now
The Timbavati is the famous home of the incredibly rare, wild, white lions. This large conservation area is one of the handful of privately owned nature reserves that have become part of the Kruger National Park. Lying on the western border of the Kruger, near the town of Hoedspruit, the Timbavati dropped its fences with the Kruger in 1993, becoming part of the Greater Kruger.
The reserve enjoys the free-roaming wildlife of the Kruger Park, but the reserve is not open to the public, so guests accommodated at safari lodges in the Timbavati can look forward much more exclusive game viewing experiences. This prestigious reserve is bordered by Klaserie in the north and Manyeleti and Sabi Sand in the south, and it is home to a variety of luxurious lodges, self-catering adventure-style camps, and rustic bush accommodation to suit every safari desire.
